A neighbor in need...
On Saturday morning July 27th, a group of Hometown Missions volunteers met out at Marsh Cramer’s home, out near Henly, to help a neighbor in need. Marsha had reached out to Hometown Missions for some assistance with the hail damaged roof over her enclosed porch. The baseball sized hail from a recent storm had punched holes in the fiberglass roof she had installed herself over 20 years ago. The old fiberglass just couldn’t take that kind of impact. She became worried after noticing the water streaming in and running back along into the roof of her home. Marsha is at a point in her life when she could not manage the repairs herself anymore. So, she called Hometown Missions and asked if we could help and prevent any damage to her home’s roof. Hometown Mission gladly took on the repairs and with volunteers removed the old, damaged fiberglass and installed new fiberglass, along with sealing and replacing a few water damaged boards. This project helped keep Marsha’s home from being damaged with mold or weakened roofing in the future.
