Home for the Holidays: A Community Effort

The Thielepape Family Project was powered by grit, generosity, and a whole lot of heart. After their longtime home was cleared, the Dripping Springs community rallied to help Alicia, her three children, and their grandmother, Susie, step into a safer, more stable place to call home. More than 20 volunteers braved cold, windy conditions to build a new front porch, back door landings, stairs, and an accessibility ramp — the critical features that make a house functional and welcoming. From coordinating delivery to completing the final structural touches, Hometown Missions helped guide the process every step of the way. Move-in day arrived just in time for Christmas, marking not just the completion of a construction project, but the beginning of renewed security, comfort, and opportunity for this deserving family.
